In 2023, I was asked to contribute an essay to the first issue of MARG1N, a Southeast Asian film magazine based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. My essay, Finding Solace in Piracy and Pirated Media as Tools to (Re)Construct My Queer Diasporic Identity, signals media piracy as a decolonising tool in a diasporic context citing the rise of Queer films in Southeast Asian screen culture.
